Paula Heinz Vance is the Vice President of Operations, Marketing and Technical Services.  She is proficient in all subspecialty areas of microbiology and is the primary liaison between clients and msi.  She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and is certified as a Specialist Microbiologist (National Registry of Microbiologists), a Specialist in Microbiology (American Society of Clinical Pathologists), and a Clinical Laboratory Specialist in Microbiology (National Certification Agency).  Ms. Vance has worked in public health and hospital microbiology since 1974 with particular expertise in mycology, mycobacteriology and virology.  She specializes in investigating and identifying microbes involved in building related problems, demonstrating particular expertise in devising innovative techniques for specimen collection and analysis.  As a Texas-licensed mold assessment consultant, she has advised hospitals, schools, industrial hygienists, and safety groups worldwide.
